At its core, this song puts pressure (for the lack of a better term) on the 1st and 2nd beats of 3/4 (time signature) like so:
xx-|xx-|xx-|...
I've found this contributes to a lazy feel

The surrounding bars don't have a clear meter (another term for time signature) which I think helps draw attention/intrigue when the original lazy part returns

After a while of composing, you'll find yourself able to create music without paying so much attention to these kinds of details... but i guess it's all about finding a balance between intention and discovery. So for advice, experiment as much as you can starting out and don't be scared of creating something horrific hehe
